പ്രഥമശുശ്രൂഷദിനം സെപ്തംബര്‍ 12
പ്രഥമശുശ്രൂഷയുടെ പ്രാധാന്യം ജനങ്ങളിലെത്തിച്ച് അപകടത്തില്‍പ്പെടുന്നവരെ സഹായിക്കാനുള്ള അവബോധം എല്ലാവരിലും സൃഷ്ടിക്കുക എന്ന ലക്ഷ്യത്തോടെ ലോകമെമ്പാടും സെപ്തംബര്‍ രണ്ടാമത്തെ ശനിയാഴ്ച പ്രഥമശുശ്രൂഷ ദിനമായി ആചരിക്കുന്നു. രണ്ടായിരമാണ്ട് മുതലാണ് ദിനാചരണ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍ നടന്നുവരുന്നത്. അന്തര്‍ദേശീയ തലത്തില്‍ റെഡ്ക്രോസ് സൊസൈറ്റികളുടെയും റെഡ് ക്രസന്റ് സൊസൈറ്റികളുടെയും ഫെഡറേഷനാണ് ദിനാചരണത്തിന് ആവശ്യമായ നിര്‍ദ്ദേശം നല്‍കുന്നത്. ഈ വര്‍ഷത്തെ പ്രഥമശുശ്രൂഷദിനം സെപ്തംബര്‍ 12നാണ്. പ്രഥമശുശ്രൂഷാ മാര്‍ഗങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് കൂടുതല്‍ അറിയാനും അതുവഴി അടിയന്തര സാഹചര്യങ്ങളില്‍ പ്രഥമശുശ്രൂഷകരാകാനുള്ള തയ്യാറെടുപ്പുകള്‍ക്കുമായി ദിനാചരണത്തെ ഉപയോഗപ്പെടുത്തണം.
പ്രഥമശുശ്രൂഷ
പ്രഥമശുശ്രൂഷയുടെ ചരിത്രംപ്രഥമ ശുശ്രൂഷയുടെ ചരിത്രം ഏതാണ്ട് പതിനൊന്നാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടുമുതല്‍ ആരംഭിച്ചു. അക്കാലത്ത് യുദ്ധരംഗത്ത് മുറിവേല്‍ക്കുന്ന ഭടന്മാരെ ശുശ്രൂഷിക്കാന്‍ മറ്റുഭടന്മാര്‍ക്ക് പരിശീലനം നല്‍കിയിരുന്നു. 1859ല്‍ സ്വിസ് വ്യവസായി ആയിരുന്ന ഹെന്റി ഡ്യൂനന്റിന് ( Henry Dunant)- രക്തരൂക്ഷിതമായ ഒരു യുദ്ധത്തിന് സാക്ഷിയാകേണ്ടിവന്നു. യുദ്ധത്തിലെ കൊടിയ വിനാശത്തില്‍ മനംനൊന്ത് അദ്ദേഹം പുസ്തകം രചിച്ചു, Memory of Solferino. യുദ്ധരംഗത്ത് മുറിവേറ്റവരും രോഗബാധിതരുമായ പടയാളികളെ ശുശ്രൂഷിക്കാനായി ദേശീയതലത്തില്‍ സന്നദ്ധസംഘടന രൂപീകരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്റെ ആവശ്യം അദ്ദേഹം പുസ്തകത്തില്‍ എടുത്തുപറഞ്ഞു. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ സ്വപ്നം പൂവണിഞ്ഞു. 1863ല്‍ സ്വിറ്റ്സര്‍ലന്‍ഡിലെ ജനീവയില്‍ ഹെന്റി ഡ്യൂനന്റ് ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ സമൂഹത്തില്‍ ഉയര്‍ന്ന നിലയില്‍ ജീവിക്കുന്ന അഞ്ചുപേര്‍ യോഗം ചേര്‍ന്നു. യുദ്ധത്തില്‍ പരിക്കേറ്റവരോ രോഗബാധിതരോ ആയ ഭടന്മാരെ സംരക്ഷിക്കുക, അവര്‍ക്കുവേണ്ട സഹായം നല്‍കുക എന്നിവയായിരുന്നു ലക്ഷ്യം.ലോകമാസകലം പടര്‍ന്നുപന്തലിച്ചു നില്‍ക്കുന്ന സന്നദ്ധസംഘടനയായ റെഡ്ക്രോസിന്റെ(RedCross) ഉത്ഭവം ഇവിടെനിന്ന് ആരംഭിക്കുന്നു. റെഡ് ക്രോസിന്റെ ചരിത്രം അങ്ങനെ പ്രഥമ ശുശ്രൂഷയുടെ ചരിത്രവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടുകിടക്കുന്നു. റെഡ്ക്രോസിന് 1917, 1944, 1963 വര്‍ഷത്തിലും ഡ്യൂനന്റിന് 1901ലും നൊബേല്‍ സമ്മാനം ലഭിച്ചു.
Oath for Teachers
- First and foremost, I will love teaching. Teaching will be my soul.
- I realize that I am responsible for shaping not just students but ignited youths who are the most powerful resource under the earth, on the earth and above the earth. I will be fully committed for the great mission of teaching.
- As a teacher, it will give me great happiness, if I cantransform an average student of the class to perform exceedingly well.
- All my actions with my students will be with kindness and affection like a mother, sister, father or brother.
- I will organize and conduct my life, in such a way that my life itself is a message for my students.
- I will encourage my students and children to ask questions and develop the spirit of enquiry, so that they blossom into creative enlightened citizens.
- I will treat all the students equally and will not support any differentiation on account of religion, community or language.
- I will continuously build the capacities in teaching so that I can impart quality education to my students.
- I will celebrate the success of my students.
- I realize by being a teacher, I am making an important contribution to all the national development initiatives.
- I will constantly endeavor to fill my mind, with great thoughts and spread the nobility in thinking and action among my students.
